Occupied bed nights is the total number of nights a bed was used by a BHBH participant or individual. Unoccupied bed nights is the total number of paid nights minus the number of occupied nights.
For example, if you have 10 BHBH beds paid for the entirety of Quarter 1, you would multiply 90 (total nights in quarter 1) by 10 (paid beds available during the quarter) for a total of *900 bed nights paid. If participants resided in those beds for 720 bed nights, you would enter **720 in “occupied,” and ***180 in “unoccupied.”
